Julio rose/Osiria/Candlestripe rose is a perennial flowering plant. Very large, dusty pink striped blooms are produced in abundance on a vigorous, upright bush. It is one of a kind with its intricately striped petals and camelia-shaped blooms. This rose does particularly well in warmer, west coast climates as the sun deepens the coloring of the blooms. Strong citrus and verbena fragrance float off the snowflake-like petals, making this a great cut rose. Julio rose displays healthy, disease-resistant foliage and makes a great statement in your garden or a container.
Plant roses where they will receive a minimum of 5 to 6 hours of full sun per day. Watering daily but don’t drown them. Prune roses every spring and destroy all old or diseased plant material. Do not prune roses in the fall. Simply cut off any dead or diseased canes/stems.
