Description

Buddha's Belly Bamboo is botanically known as the Bambusa ventricosa from the Poaceae family. It is a fast-growing & and evergreen bamboo. This is excellent for screens, windbreaks, or containers. Well known for the swollen or bulging internodes of its canes resembling the fat belly of the buddha. It is an excellent choice for screening or privacy.

GROWING TIPS - 

  • You can grow it in a pot or directly in the soil in case of large plantation planning. 
  • It can grow from subtropical to tropical climates with an average temperature range between 15-40 Degree celsius. 
  • It is always preferred to grow it in full sunlight area to semi-shade area, but not in full shade area.
  • Soil should be well-drained, fertile & should be organic in nature.
  • Watering is very important in bamboo plants, always water very little to bamboo than normal plants.
  • You can plant it in line-wise for screening purposes or also in the pot or directly in the ground is also better.
  • Once planted it starts clumping around its base & it will multiply like a clone.

INITIAL CARE FOR 10-15 DAYS JUST AFTER RECEIVING YOUR PLANT 

  1. Remove the Packaging Materials carefully.
  2. Press the soil in the pot & add additional soil(garden mix) if necessary.
  3. Maintain moisture in the pot, Do not overwater it may kill your plant, so make sure that the soil should be dry between watering.
  4. Make sure that plants get enough morning direct bright light(2-3hrs) for 10-15 days & do not go for immediate transplanting (minimum 1 month)
  5. After 1 month you can transplant it into a slightly bigger pot than the present pot or directly in the ground.
  6. Just prune if any branch of the plant is get damaged in transits. New leaves will come definitely.
